Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccination: Safety data published from the US Vaccine Safety Datalink

Researchers from the United States have published a large target trial emulation study including data from eight health systems across eight states, investigating the risk of adverse neonatal and obstetric outcome following RSV vaccination in pregnancy. The study provides largely reassuring safety evidence particularly for obstetric/neonatal outcome, whilst also identifying a possible small increased risk of maternal hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.
