Use of calcium-based antacids and PPIs during pregnancy not found to reduce the risk of late-onset preeclampsia

A collaborative of researchers from Radboud University Medical Center, the Netherlands Pharmacovigilance Centre Lareb and Maastricht University, led by ENTIS associate member Dr Marleen van Gelder, have published a prospective comparative cohort study investigating preeclampsia risk among women exposed to calcium-based antacids and PPIs during pregnancy.
