Medication Use among Pregnant and Breastfeeding Women during the COVID-19 Pandemic

ENTIS research led by Dr Michael Ceulemans (Lareb TIS, Netherlands) and Prof Hedvig Nordeng (Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety Research Group, University of Oslo) has been published describing the prevalence of medication use in pregnancy and breastfeeding during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. The research highlighted that perinatal medication use was highly prevalent during the first wave, underlining the importance of maintaining counselling efforts on medication use, even in times of disrupted healthcare services and/or limited resources.
