A collaboration of researchers from Lausanne University Hospital, and the Universities of Lausanne, Basel and Bern have published data from the Swiss Helsana claims dataset (2014-2018). The researchers described the medications most commonly utilised in the treatment of chronic medical conditions in Switzerland. More information can be found here. No evidence for an increased risk of malformation or miscarriage following ciprofloxacin use in early pregnancy

Researchers from the Department of Clinical Pharmacology at Copenhagen University Hospital have published a nationwide register-based cohort study investigating the safety of early pregnancy ciprofloxacin exposure. The study, which included more than 10,000 ciprofloxacin exposed pregnancies, did not identify any increased risks of major malformation, organ-specific major malformations or miscarriage.
